Hey folks, check out these events and move forward in solidarity!
(1) The time of meetings for the Board of Trustees is earlier than usual this week, so heads up and here are the details.
The next meeting of the Northeastern Illinois University Board of Trustees will be held on Thursday, February 27, 2014, in the Golden Eagles Room, located at 5500 N. St. Louis Ave.
The committee meetings will begin at 12:45 p.m. and board meeting at 1:30 p.m.
Board meeting materials, calendars and additional information are available online. To access the site, go to the NEIU website, click About NEIU and Board of Trustees.
(2) And for those of us in CAS, the College Assembly tomorrow at 3:00 will be on the following:
Reminder — we have a College of A&S Assembly tomorrow during activity hour (3 – 4) in BBH – 101 — Kate Hahn will be here to talk about the UAC, and also we need to discuss budgetary feedback to the UPBC.
(3) Make sure you drop in on the Learn and Lead Program. The registration is closed–so no lunch if you didn’t check in–but for most panels walk-ins are welcome.
If you miss this registration, you may still attend sessions as a walk-in. However, lunch cannot be offered to walk-ins because of cost and catering restrictions.
Two sessions are already full and will be closed to walk-ins. These are Brad Ginn’s session on Communication Skills (on Tuesday afternoon) and Suzanne Benson’s “Getting What You Want out of Life” (on Wednesday afternoon). Other sessions are nearing their maximum capacity and may have to close to walk-ins later. In some sessions, there may be standing room only.
Doors will open to walk-ins five minutes before the start of each session. We ask that walk-ins wait in the Student Union loft (just outside of SU214, 215, and 216) until the folks who preregistered take their seats.
