I hope everyone had a restful and fun Labor Day weekend.
I’m writing to report on our membership meeting last week–great to see everyone!–and to give a quick review on TIME REPORTING.
- INSTRUCTORS do not have to Time Report.
- This new policy is only for tenured and tenure-track faculty and librarians (who are now joining our Academic Support Professionals who already time report)
- QUESTIONS? I will hold special office hours tomorrow–LWH 2074, Wednesday 9/9 10:00-1:00–and you can call too at x5652 during that time and be sure to catch me in.
We also discussed the way forward for UPI–and the University–over the next three years.
The main thing we want to do is be there for our students and thus help with retention and their success. That will mean continued engagement with university politics for many of us. But we will also be planning volunteer-work projects for those of us interested in contributing in new ways.
All ways to support the university are . . . well, . . what we are always about! It was fantastic to be back with everyone crowded in together and ready to go. Good to hear your ideas and critiques.
In solidarity with the best–namely, YOU!
