Hey folks, check this out from Shannon Saszik in Psychology. This is very much a policy matter that touches on union business. I hope some of us can go to this event.
I want to invite you to an event I’m hosting later this month that I think you’ll find compelling and insightful as Illinois prepares to for its 11th month without a state budget.
On Tuesday, April 26, I will moderate a panel titled Illinois on the Brink: A discussion of the state’s budget impasse and its consequences. I have invited experts who will talk about the real-world pain and consequences of Illinois’ historic budget stalemate.
Joining me will be:
• Therese McGuire, professor of strategy at the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University
• Bill Stafford, trustee, Oakton Community College
• Mark Weiner, president and CEO of CJE SeniorLife
The discussion begins at 7 p.m. in the Parasol Room of the Evanston Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Ave. The event is free and open to the public.
Please mark your calendar and plan to join me. I look forward to seeing you there.
