Hey Folks – we hope to see as many of you as possible today at the . . .
UPI Membership Meeting, Thurs, January 26, 3:00-4:00, in BBH 101.
I’m about to send separate emails containing information on the Traditional Retirement Plan and the Furlough Days “buy-back” option and on the New AFT Instructors’ Caucus. We will discuss both of these issues and more–including how the ongoing budget situation is going to be affecting our work and academic lives.
(PS, there’s a cool English department event right after we meet. Think of this as the membership meeting after party if you can go.)
The Department of English will continue its new literary series, The 82 (“Writers Reading”), on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 4 p.m. in the Golden Eagles Room.
Writers T. Clutch Fleischmann, Snezana Zabic and Zoe Zolbrod will read and discuss their writing processes. Fleischmann is the author of the essay “Syzygy, Beauty” and curator of “Body Forms: Queerness and the Essay.” Among Zabic’s publications are the poetry collection “The Breath Capital” and memoir “Broken Records.” Zolbrod is author of the memoir “The Telling” and the novel “Currency.”In solidarity!
